Hourly activity not syncing correctly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Sick of moaning about this glitch. My Sense 2 says I’ve achieved all 10 hours of my hourly activity. However, the app says 9 out of 10. The penultimate hour didn’t sync. I’ve force reset app, switch off blue tooth, deleted and reinstalled app. Rebooted phone. You name it and I’ve done it. This happens intermittently and is so disappointing had it’s been happening for ages. I’ve been with Fitbit for 10 years and I’m done as they never listen or offer any info as to when it will be fixed. Soooo disappointed.

Not sure how it’s a sync delay. I track hourly activity between 9am and 7pm (10 hours). It was the 6pm hour that wasn’t in the app. Today even though the time period hasn’t finished, the watch shows the 3pm activity as been achieved but it’s not in the app. I’ve synced the watch since and everything else is accurate ie total steps. The glitch is only happening with hourly activity and not all data.

I am having the same issue.  I will wait until the end of the day but I doubt it will help.  I have had this issue many times over the years I have been using Fitbit and don’t know why they can’t fix it.  Just before 5PM I had 9 hours showing on my FB and only 8 in my app.  The app shows that 10AM was missed but it was not.

"This usually happens when the device doesn't sync your info before the day ends."

I have found that this usually happens when the device doesn't sync with the app before the HOUR.

It shouldn't matter.
The app should show what the device shows.
You should be able to go all day without syncing, sync, and have the app
reflect what was recorded by the device.

@heidt   I agree with @ivwildbil.  All Fitbits store seven days of detailed data on the device.  I have family who work in places where you can't bring your phone into the building.  This is not the issue.

The problem can be related to the ongoing servers adjusting the Steps (they are when they shouldn't, long running issue).

It is possible that the watch calculates the hourly movements before a sync which then adjusts the Steps later after the hourly has been registered on the watch.

When the watch syncs with the revised Steps the app then calculates whether there were enough Steps for the hour and shows that result for the hour, rather than what the watch calculated.

STILL BROKEN

Happened to me again yesterday.  Will Google ever step up and get it fixed?

Is anyone from Fitbit support here to help?

This is happening to me also, and I am super frustrated.  I have tried all of the suggested fixes, but no different.  I record from 7 am to 7 p.m.  I even get out of bed early on the weekend to make sure I get the 7 a.m. steps.  Imagine the frustration when you get up early on purpose only to have the app not record that 7 a.m. hour.  Why can't/won't they fix this???? Uggghhh!!!!!

This happens with my Sense 2 at least 3 times a week.  It is so frustrating!  Looks like they have no interest in fixing this problem.  Maybe I will switch to an Apple watch.
