How to view past notifications in the middle of an exercise?

I have notification enabled on the Sense 2, and when I am in the midst of recording an exercise, I might get a notification via vibration of the tracker.  I know I can view the notification if I swipe up while the popup is still on the screen, but I might not have a free hand right at that time as I might be riding the bike.  When I am able to check the tracker, there is no way to view the notifications I received.  If I press the button to go back to the watch face so I can swipe up and view received notification, the recording of the exercise stops.

Is there some trick to do what I want to do?

I found a way to view past notifications while recording an exercise.  One would have to double press the button to bring up the quadruple shortcut and click on the notification icon, then one can view all the notifications that was received.

Hi @phatbitzr - the only function available in an Exercise with swipe up is more information.

On the previous models Notifications was a pull down so it was possible, but unfortunately to recall notifications on the Sense 2/ Versa 4 in Exercise mode is not possible because it is a conflict of response action and Exercise has priority.

@Guy_what response action comes in conflict?  There is no swipe down action when in an exercise mode, so that action can indicate to show notification.  If during exercise mode, it has exclusive use of the screen.  The popup bubble when a notification arrives seems to supersedes the exercise mode response actions.  A tiny pulldown widget can reside on top of the screen which would take precedence over the exercise mode actions, thus allowing one to pull it down and view notifications.

I don't think anyone can explain the reasoning apart from Fitbit themselves. As it stands right now, it's a feature that was possible on older devices but for whatever reason has been removed on the newer devices.

I would recommend posting this in the "Product Feedback" forum (here) as this is the channel that Fitbit monitors for such requests.

@phatbitzr Thanks for updating us, that's good to know that it is actually possible. It's a shame it's hidden away and not immediately obvious though.
