Low heart rate alert?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got a low heart rate alert showing that my heart rate was around 45 bpm on my Sense 2 for almost 30 minutes. But the thing is I wasn't wearing the watch. The sensor wasn't even touching anything. Is it normal for the watch to detect a heartbeat when you aren't wearing it? It has always just shown no data when I take it off except this one time. Now I have bad data logged permanently in my record.

Hello @kionbo2 and welcome to the Community.  The heart rate monitor should turn off when you aren't wearing your Fitbit.  The heart rate monitor uses reflective technology.  If the light gets reflected back from something different, like overlapping watch band parts, the lights stay on and your Fitbit picks up an erroneous heart rate signal.  You can even get a false nap log, if it goes on for more than an hour.  Just make sure the green LEDs turn off when you aren't wearing your Fitbit.

I looked at your public profile and can see that you are new to Fitbit.  I see this kind of data as being the small stuff.  Please don't sweat the small stuff.
