Metal strips on Sense 2 fell off

One of the metal strips came off my Sense 2 a few months ago, but still worked, the other one has just come off, now my heart rate is not monitoring. Steps registering on and off. I have seen,this morning, that other people have the same problem. I never use in water and have never had problems with fitbit watches in the past. Can you glue the strips back on without damaging watch? Thanks.
