Fitbit only has a one-year warranty I was given this Fitbit watch from United Healthcare one Christmas of 2022 which I turned it on and got it going in January 2023 and because the date I turned it on? Because he was turned on in January 23 the warranty expired on January 2024 but yet just last week the band broke right where the the in between piece where the band goes under that broke both Fitbit and United Healthcare refuse to replace the watch and I think Fitbit watches that they have where you can't replace the band is ridiculous and one person who bought me the new one I did not want to have to ask I didn't even ask her she volunteered thank God because I told her I depended on this watch on everything walking heart rate diet and the rest of it does but no Fitbit does not replace after one year there should be at least a 5-year warranty on their watches for the price that they charge for these watches and then I paid $10.49 a month for premium what is the premium for it doesn't get me anything except for this that and the other but no no extended warranty on the watch

Hi @DJDavey - the warranty period is longer in some other countries such as 2 years, this determined by country law and is a minimum required. After that you are on your own.

Some manufacturers are so confident in their products and are willing to provide longer warranties to ensure happy customers if something does go wrong and to entice new customers.

Others only care about making money and sales quotas.

In any case accidental damage is rarely included in warranties but may be covered on insurance policies.

You don't need premium for regular measurements and if you are dissatisfied you can cancel it if it is not giving you anything extra or get a different watch.
