When Google bought up FitBit I knew the end was coming, and as expected they slowly did away with all the things I liked about the FitBit community.
I said my Sense 2 would be my last FitBit device, and then last fall when it unexpectedly died I replaced it with another Sense 2 anyway.
That was November 24th, 2024. 6 months, almost.
This morning I realized that the data from the Sense 2 was not showing on the mobile app. It stopped sometime Monday morning.
It would not sync, and the time was off by a minute on the Sense and the battery, which was full on Monday, was at 5%
Rebooted the sense, killed the app, cleared cache, nothing worked.
Uninstalled/Reinstalled the app and was able to reconnect but still 2 days of data missing from the app. It was on the Sense, I know because I had to go for a walk last night to make sure I hit my 12K.
Now, just a few minutes ago, I thought I'd reboot one more time. So I went to Settings/Shutdown and then hit the button to start back up. Normal process, I've done it hundreds of times.
This time? It factory reset itself!!
I just placed an order for a UltraHuman Air ring and this **ahem** laying on my desk is headed for the trash. Warranty or no, it's got to go.
Google seems bound and determined to destroy everything good about anything they touch, except, maybe, Android OS.
