My new Sense 2 won't pair with the Fitbit app.

My new Sense 2 won't pair with the Fitbit app. Bluetooth shows the Sense 2 as a device but it says it needs an app to connect.  I can get the code to enter into the Fitbit app but then receive an "X" and tells me to try again.  Have followed all steps on this forum and nothing changes.

Thank you for sharing the information regarding the difficulty with your Sense 2 and for trying to fix it by following the steps listed in other threads.

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the Fitbit app: How do I use the Fitbit app?

Please confirm that you have followed the steps listed here below: 

  • Unpair your new Sense 2 and old Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Sense 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense 2.
