I really loved my fitbits from the blaze up to the sense (my favourite) however I pre- ordered the sense 2 and I gave my sense to a friend as they wanted to try Fitbit
In the meantime I'd been given a Garmin venu 2 plus for my birthday wow! What an eye opener fantastic battery life great insights into all my body stats etc ..and the real winner for me audible notifications and alarms but I was still excited about the sense 2 it finally arrived and boy what a disappointment none of my old clock faces could be downloaded no 3rd party apps at all it was advertised as a step up from the original sense but its more like a basic version of it just bad
I think because Google has the new pixel watch out its thrown everything at that instead
So goodbye expensive "premium" I will be sticking with my Garmin that does all the things "premium" does and more for free
If you're thinking of "upgrading" from sense to Sense 2 don't

Same. I have always been a Fitbit customer until I tried the Sense 2. Returned and have now switched to an Apple Watch. The Sense 2 was a huge disappointment.

Me as well. Long time Fitbit user. Bought the Sense 2 and returned it. A large downgrade from my current Versa 3.

Same here. Had enough of the poor build quality, reliability and accuracy. Also moved on to Garmin.

Same here.
I started with Versa 3 and later changes to Sense - it is good entry level basic smart band in par with Mi Bands.
But when I try dig more into this kind wearable device its limitations give me a headache.
My wife have Fenix 6 Pro and it... punches Fitbit straight in the watchface. 😉
(but it is waaaay more pricey)
So now I'm researching which budget model of Garmin I will switch to.

Googles Pixel watch will be using fitbit to track activity.

I am in the same situation where I do not want to degrade my Fitbit Sense to Sense 2.
Been looking at the Pixel watch but also this one does not have all the features my Sense has and only has one day of battery and can not be bought in Denmark
Sadly that means that I might be ready to try something else 😕

what do you mean ? Re-use the code ? track is basic, the good thing with fitibit since ionic was able to create your appas and get access to the sensors API

Yes that's why in my opinion they've put more into that than the Sense 2
The pixel watch I'm lead to believe will have 3rd party apps ... Spotify etc Google pay and assistance straight out of the box whilst using Fitbit tracking Fitbit app and premium....but without the battery life
Sense 2 has no 3rd party apps no WiFi and very limited clock faces for a watch that has been billed as an upgrade and has been 2 years in the making its very disappointing

Yeah unfortunately pixel watch has 24 hrs at most of battery life
I would really recommend the Garmin venu 2 plus beautiful amoled screen 9 days of battery life great insights into health stats has a great feature called body battery that breaks down flatuations in HR and stress accurate sleep tracking and seamless syncing with phone
Also has GPS WiFi and other great features
Audible notifications and alarms
It is a little more expensive but you get a lot of watch for the money

I'm researching whole days replacement for my Fitbits "watches".
I recommend TheQuantifiedScientist channel on YT.
Initially I was toward Garmin Venue 2 Plus, but it seems that this smartwatch is not realiable in terms of HR or sleep tracking accuracy.
After few days researching I'm more toward Huawei 3 or GT 3 series - it is way more accurate than Garmin Venue 2.
And most importantly - because I use my own custom designed watchface - it have custom AOD without any restrictions. I buy watch to look at it every hour, so I expect to see information what I want, without any artificial restrictions like on Firbit.
And as Android user I don't consider any Apple Watch, because of closed system and incompatibility with Android phones.
Contrary Google's Watch price is ridiculous.

Hello
Great recommendations
However I must disagree about HR and sleep tracking on Garmin venu 2 plus I've been wearing mine 24/7 for the last 2 months and personally I can say it's the most accurate tracker I've had that's including Fitbit sense I've also tried Samsung watch and my Garmin is Spot on
You also have the option of loads of customisation of watch faces also it has AOD and works so well with Android
Personally I'll never go back to any other smart watch my Garmin does it all

Yeah, I had the Sense 2 for a day. Returned it and went back to my original Sense. I'm not sure what I will do when the Sense dies.... I guess I will start researching non-Fitbit option 😞

A real disgrace that they took away all 3rd party apps, Google Assistant, Music Storage, & Music controls that were available on the Sense 2. & Google maps, Google wallet & ability to answer calls not available at launch with no specific date provided

Wow. So many people in the same boat as me. My Versa 1 croaked after 3 years. That’s forgivable. My Sense 1 croaked after 1 year (battery failure). That irked me. I’m using the Sense 2 now and hate it so far. So many little annoying things and a few big ones just ruins the user experience. I REALLY want to stay with Fitbit because of battery life, price, superior fitness tracking, and I’d lose years of data if I left Fitbit for Apple or something. I’m torn.

I have a Versa 2 which is almost 3 years old. I refuse to purchase the Pixel Watch. One day of battery life is pathetic and a significant downgrade from my Versa 2. I plan on buying another Versa 2 in case my current one gives up the ghost. I'll reassess the market after that one dies.
