No Call Notifications on Sense 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My new Sense 2 does not receive call notifications and, consequently, no on-wrist calls.

Other notifications work to some extent. When text messages and calendar events are enabled, they do no work. However, if they are enabled and their respective apps are enabled in app notifications, they work! This does not apply to call notifications, though.

I'm using a Samsung S21 running Android 12.

I was told by a Fitbit representative that the issue should be resolved in a firmware upgrade due by the end of November.

Hello @Zamalkawy4ever,

They added on-wrist calling and google pay. They also fixed bugs and such, but no matter what you will still have to have the notifications set up for the apps and Fitbit app. That is how it always works to get it and as for phone notifications you will receive them if you have your notifications volume up or on vibrate, if you have it set to off you will not receive the phone call notifications. Not everyone has the firmware update. So we have to keep checking, we should receive the update in the next week or two though. You will need to set up the on-wrist calling when you receive the new update too.

Turned out to be just an empty promise. Two days after the promised date, Fitbit advocate has no idea about any new firmware and he said, two weeks later, that the expert team will send you an email!

Thanks for your response 🙂
However, I think you got me wrong somehow. I know how to set up notificatios; I've had Fitbits for 5 years.

Notifications are set up and test calls work.

What does not work is:

  • Call Notifications. Consequently, On-Wrist calls.
  • Text messages and Calendar Events, if they are enabled! However, if they're not, and the respective apps are added under App Notifications, they work!

The app is granted all permissions and has unrestricted background activity.

I don't know if the new firmware introducing On-Wrist calls had anything to do with it, because I got my Sense 2 after it was released.

What is frustratiung me is that Fitbit responded over chat twice: once they told me the expert team will contact you. And the other time, they told me that ANOTHER firmware upgrade was 40% ready and be released by November 30. This was after the firmware that introiduced On-Wrist calls was released.
