My original FitBit Flex is officially dead and I need a replacement but work in corrections so I can’t have anything that calls/messages etc. Does anyone know the best replacement?

Hi @Lisabethholly All current models can show text messages and can let you answer a call on your phone from your wrist. The Sense 2/Versa 4 have a microphone/speaker. You can answer a call and speak to the caller from your wrist, but you can't start a call from your wrist. In all cases, your phone must be in Bluetooth range for any of these features to work.
Does your facility have a list of allowable devices?

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

Just asking for clarity, you mentioned that you can't have a device that has calling or messaging capabilities. Does that include just notifications for calls and texts as well?
There are Fitbit models that will allow for call and text notifications, however, the Sense and Versa lines are not part of that.

Yes to not being able to get notifications also.
I’ll look at the sense & versa models

I don't think you understood the last part of my message. I would NOT look at the Sense and Versa models, since they will NOT meet your requirements.
What you need is something like the One or Zip models, but those are older models.

@DramaQueenDiva @LZeeW , Thank you for your messages and help .
@Lisabethholly , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your messages.
Depending on your needs, there are several options.
On all Fitbit Models there is the option to turn off the messages, notifications and (where available) calls.
To choose from the available models, I suggest you have a small list, of what you need.
Eg, you want to install apps and have connectivity on your device, then a Smartwatch ( Pixel Watches, Versa and/or Sense series) would be the way to go .
If you only need the basic stats ( steps, calories burned, distance, etc) then a tracker would be a choice. ( Charge Serie, Inspire Family, or any of the older models).
I leave you a chart here, where you can compare the different models, so that you can compare your options. Find your perfect fit.
