Not receiving text notifications

Hello!

Completely new to Fitbit and received my Sense 2 today, to replace my dying Apple Watch. 
I love the watch, but it doesn’t receive text notifications. I’ve looked through this community and followed all the advice and tips, but still no notifications. It tells me when someone is ringing, but doesn’t notify me of texts - which is one of the reasons I chose the watch!

What am I doing wrong? Text notifications are turned on, as well as phone calls. Calls are coming through on the watch but not messages. 

please help!

If it doesn’t work then I’ll have to send the watch back as it’s not fit for purpose

Sad to hear that you're having an issue with notifications on your Sense 2.
Please make sure your iPhone is running iOS 15 or later to be fully compatible with the latest version of the Fitbit app. If this requirement is met, please have a closer look here for troubleshooting:
