So excited to get my Sense2 configured & installed, I stepped through the install process first thing today. According to the instructions, it automatically replaced my Sense1 with the new Sense2....but now i can't get my old Sense1 to stop receiving notifications. It's no longer listed as a device, in my FitBit app. It is, however, connected via Bluetooth (but Apple IOs 15.6.1 won't allow me to remove it)

Go to the settings on your sense (1) and then shut it down.
I had the same problem.

a couple reasons,
my Sense1 battery was losing charge. I've had it for a year+ and wanted one with a longer battery life.
I was most interested in the new features for heart health, advanced stress notification, and the exercise+GPS features.
Voice assist & Fitbit Pay were bonuses.
Bonus benefits: it uses the same charger & watch band.

@Cagey01 Can you clarify something? When you say that you can't remove your Sense from your list of Bluetooth devices, is that option greyed out and not functioning? Or something else? And is your Sense 2 on your list of Bluetooth devices?

Both were on my list of connected bluetooth devices. all my notifications were going to Sense1 not Sense2. oddly enough, about an hour after I posted, the Sense1 device disconnected from bluetooth & I was able to 'forget device'.
