I bought this watch as a Christmas present for my mom (per
medical reasons) and notifications are not showing… I’ve been a Fitbit user since 2014 and I think I know my way around them pretty well… already tried all the suggestions in the Help & Support sites and still
not working… is someone else having this issue? Is it something this model is known for? I’m really disappointed.

Hi @AbigailGtzLu - the watch menu navigation is a bit different, firstly just to be sure, pull down to get to Quick Settings and verify the settings.
You've probably set yours up right and everything works for you on your phone, and her watch is setup right so there is a phone setting on her phone that may be not correct, most notably show preview if it is an iPhone.
The message notifications must appear on her status bar, and the watch has to be able to connect any time, which means not allowing battery saving to shut the Fitbit App, Bluetooth or location down.
