Learned recently that after some 6-8 years of continuous requests from users, Fitbit finally added paddling/kayaking to the available exercise types on Sense 2. Thanks, Fitbit!
However I could not find details about this new feature anywhere on fitbit.com - if it recognizes strikes and also speed (which provides data for a lot of other useful stats, like avg distance per strike, speed changes during your exercise, etc.) like a Garmin or it is still the same old "Outdoor Workout" functionality without providing any paddling specific data.
Do you have any first-hand experience about it? (Thanks if you share it!)

@OnedinKennedy it doesn't bring new metrics. It does record speed but nothing else that is kayaking specific. It's just Bike activity with another name.
