Spent weeks deciding between a Fitbit and Apple to answer partner on what I wanted as a Xmas present.
She bought one from Amazon and it was wrapped to be opened this morning. I was genuinely looking forward to trying it out during a Christmas morning jog.
Up early as usual. Attached the charger expecting it would need 30mins to an hour.
BUT. Nothing is coming up on the screen although the watch vibrates. So one might think there is some charge on the battery.
Tried a hard start holding the button for several seconds. The Fitbit logo flashes seven times and then a Red Cross appears.
Before I print the Amazon return label has anyone else had this on a brand new device? Did you resolve it or is it just a dud Fitbit?

Hi @DavidAtoz Unfortunately it sounds like it might be a dud. Mine set up quickly and easily, tho updating took a long time.

So Fitbit might be the wearable Gringe that stole Christmas.
My partner is a bit upset that the main present she bought me does not appear to work!

Same thing happened to mine. I bought it yesterday. The watch showed 0% battery. Then it charged up to 55% and just stopped charging, then back to 0%. Then it flashed fitbit logo several times before it ender with a large red cross. I will exchange it tomorrow.
