Last week the battery on my Fitbit Sense 2 began draining rapidly, not even making a full day between charges.
Then it died completely and I can’t get it to boot up at all. When I hook it up to the charger, the device gets very hot so I know that a charge is getting to the device. But since I can’t turn it on, I’m unable to do a factory reset or any of the other “fixes” I’ve found online.
I loved this watch. It’s my third or fourth fitbit product. But it’s barely a year old, barely out of warranty, and it’s now non-functional. I’m very disappointed.
Anyone have any ideas or should I just get an Apple watch?

Hi @KevinCotter - this is probably a Sense, as the Sense 2 has only just come on the market.
However the symptoms indicate water inside that has caused internal damage.
Don't charge it if it gets hot, that's dangerous. It needs replacing.

You might be right that it's the Sense and not the 2 as I've had it for a bit over a year.
I appreciate the diagnosis! And that makes sense as I was snorkeling last week with it on.

@KevinCotter - thanks rather unfortunate outcome to your watch.
I moved your post to the correct forum.

I got my sense 2 for Christmas
was fully charged and all set up but yesterday ( Boxing Day) it just died,
I thought better charge had run out so put it in charge and went to bed.
thus morning it’s still dead, nothing on display test the app is indicating that it’s fully charged ?
