Sense 2 Can't Pair with Pixel 9 Pro XL

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my Pixel 9 Pro XL and after doing all the updates, reinstalled the fitbit app and tried to pair it with my Sense 2 (after rebooting it) and it can't find the Sense 2.

You'd think Google products would work together but no.

Any ideas on how to get these two to connect?

Thanks.

I also tried pairing it with my old phone again and it now won't pair with my Pixel 8 Pro either.

At least it's consistent, eh?

Welcome to the forums @sbradfor @Gman83.

Thank you for sharing the details regarding your Sense 2 and for trying to fix it on your own.

I was wondering if you did remove your device from the previous phone? At this moment I'd ask you please forget the Sense 2 from the 2 phones.

Please, try the steps listed here below:

  • Unpair your new Sense 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Sense 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense 2.

Yes, that was the first set of things I tried.  I actually tried it with both phones and got different results that didn't work on either one.  On my Pixel 8, I could get as far as the code showing up but it would never connect.  On the Pixel 9, the code would never show up.

I finally did get it working by using both phones.  I got it to the code stage on the Pixel 8 and then switched over to the Pixel 9 and for some reason, that caused the code to show up and it then connected after two tries.

The whole process was more than two hours.  I really wish manufacturers would STOP using Bluetooth.  It is such a horribly buggy standard.  Wifi is just so much better.

The September 2024 update for my Pixel 9 Pro XL fixed the issue with code not showing up during Versa 4 setup

Same happened to my sense 2 and pixel 9 pro. I unpaired them from my old phone. Uninstall the Fitbit app on the old phone. Reinstall/ restarted the pixel 9 pro and Fitbit app. The sense 2  keeps rejecting to pair with the pixel 9 pro.

Same problem here. New Pixel 9 Pro XL, Sense 2 was working fine on a Pixel 6 but won't pair with the Pixel 9. Paired fine with a Galaxy Tab, but won't pair with the brand new Pixel. I went so far as to factory reset the Sense but it still doesn't want to pair with the Pixel 9. It's also interesting that the battery level is reported as 32% in the Fitbit app, but reads 75% on the device.
