We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 210.26 for Sense 2 has been released to all our members. Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!
We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.
Thanks for your participation in this thread. Since the majority of Sense 2 customers reported successfully updating to Firmware Update 210.26, I’m closing this thread. If you still haven’t updated your device to 210.26, check out this post for some best practices on how to update your device.
If you are experiencing an issue with your watch, I invite you to start a new topic on the Fitbit Sense 2 board or find a related topic. You can also visit our Help Center for further assistance.
Thanks again for all feedback on this release.
So iscthis the same release that has been out since before July or is this a fixed version as when I downloaded it in July it screwed my fit totally up. I had to remove it. So is it going to destroy my fitbit again?
How can you remove it? I did not install it yet because I am too afraid it will not work with Android 8.0 (even the previous version is not supposed to work, but it does except for Alexa) I would like to give it a try, but only if I can remove it if I'm not happy.. So please tell me how I can remove it
Best AnswerSorry to say but i am totally dissatisfied with my sense 2 i bought 2.5 years ago. After recent update, the battery usage is totally abrupt. It takes time to charge, drains fast and then gets shut down abruptly in the middle and doesnt start without charging. Receiving calls function is also not working properly. Latest update has taken a toll on the product. No warrantly available and neither any service center in India. Wish i had not bought this.
Since the download I’ve seen a few odd things, and my GPS distances seem worse.
For GPS accuracy I compared to two other sources and here’s what I see.
Strava app and my old $75 Amazfit watch are quite consistent on distance when used on the same run. My Fitbit sense 2, on the exact same runs, always shows a shorter run and has been up to 8% shorter. So running 5.0 miles on my Fitbit is about 5.4 miles on two other devices. Based on my pace I trust the other two sources more but that may be wishful thinking! 😀
Second, if I run the same course on different days my Fitbit is inconsistent by about 1-4% while my cheap watch and Straya app are much more consistent. For example, my Fitbit measured a 3.0 mile run as 2.99 one day and the exact same run as 3.16 a few days later.
i also have something that I don’t think I changed and can’t figure out how to fix it if it is user error. Since about the time of the version update my splits are messed up. It seems to confuse miles and kilometers. For example, after a 2 (2.04) mile run my Fitbit showed the following.
Lap 1 * 5’ 10” /mi * 1.61 mi
Lap 2 * 4’ 46” /mi * 1.61 mi
Lap 3 * 5’ 52” /mi * .05 mi
Last thing, the watch screen sensitivity has always been poor, but recently seems even worse. I have had to touch the screen dozens of times to start/stop timers or end my run. In the 2 mile run, above, I counted to about 15 seconds of me trying to end the run but the watch would not react.
I didnt do anything but when I check the About info on my phone, it shows 60.20001.210.26. If this is the latest release, then it has messed up my watch. My phone location and time zone have been manually set to India and Asia/Kolkata but the automatic update shows it as United Kingdom and the time on the clock face is UK time. When i change to Australia/Sydney to check if other time zones work, it gives me the accurate australian time.
Can someone please look at Asia/Kolkata and India and get the fix through as there are a number of us who have been affected by this. Thank you.
Hi, I'm having a similar problem. My timezone is GMT+8, but my watch keeps showing current UK time. Everything syncs ok except the time.
Like you, I didn't install anything and have the same version number.
Have tried everything from factory reset to reinstalling Fitbit app. Beyond frustrated.
Not a fan! The last 3 days the step count on my phone app is hundreds higher than my Sense 2. By the end of yesterday, it was off over 700 steps. I believe my Sense 2 over the app data. Can this be fixed??
The last 2 days, the app has not sync'd well. My Exercise Days - detail is missing and I have had to manually add my exercises.
My watch has been stuck on this screen since last night when I updated it. The battery depleted over night, charged it to 100% and 4 hours later I'm at 66%. I can't use the watch. The app says it is updated and synced. How can I reverse this update? Before this update the battery lasted days and never gave me any trouble.
on X (Twitter) there is a post saying the issue has been resolved. However the App on my phone still shows the Automatic Time Zone as United Kingdom rather than mine. While my watch has now accepted the manual time zone update for India. Having to manually make the change each time i travel is going to be really frustrating. Could this be sorted asap. Thanks
Same issue here. What a mess. Hopefully someone knows a workaround.
Regarding the new software update:
- The issue with receiving calls has been resolved.
- The EKG function is now working properly.
- The SpO2 function is now working properly.
- The tap to zoom feature is functioning as expected.
- Partial Spotify controls from the notifications is still working
However, the floors count metric is still not fixed. Dividing the displayed value by 20 provides an approximate real count. It is unclear why the floors count metric was highly accurate before the original Sense was launched.
When can we expect the update that fixes this one? My fitbit can't sync now. Restarted the watch, nothing.
Update if someone else has trouble: I fixed it by deleting and redownloading the app
