I’ve had my sense 2 for about a month and a half, during which time it has worked fine up until recently. The heart rate variability feature is reading zero approximately 50% of the time. All other metrics are reading.. I wear it 2-3 fingers up and as suggested. I clean it as directed. I have restarted the device itself as well as the Fitbit app. I actually have gotten a new phone which has the most updated Fitbit app as well. Have not had problems with syncing. I have worn it while swimming laps and have noticed that the heart rate feature seems to be inaccurate while in the pool but other than that seems accurate otherwise. Sleep data appears to be accurate.
I’m just frustrated because the heart rate variability affects other metrics such as cardio load and I have been using cardio load scores to improve my cardiovascular fitness. I could have bought a step counter for a lot less if that’s all I wanted.
I’ve seen that other people are having the same problem. For a $200 fitness tracker, you’d expect that it would function properly, especially in the first month or two of wearing.

I've been having this exact same issue and can't find any solutions to it. It's been ongoing for a month or two now

The HRV on my Sense 2 worked for about 3 weeks, then quit. No one addressed this directly when I posted previously, maybe because I mentioned several topics. Maybe related: the breathing rate didn't post for the first few weeks I owned this watch, but then started working. But when the HRV quit, the breathing rate also quit. How would a watch measure breathing anyway?
