Sense 2 Losing Time

Hello, read a few other posts on Versa devices losing time and Sense 2 observed doing the same.  In brief when not consistently syncing with phone time loss is noticeable.  Observation with Sense 2 , over the course of about half a day*, losing 10 or more minutes if the phone doesn't sync.  Once sync'd clock is again good.  Using default clock face, did try factory reset, watch about 3 weeks old.  Understandably frustrating as ideally don't want to be glued to the phone all the time (what is the point if that is the case).  *Does seem that the loss of time is somewhat dependent on battery charge percentage, seems when higher charge 70% or higher as an example to 90% the loss is less but still occurs, then below 70% (example watch today for me has been in the 50% to 60% range, lost a minute or so an hour if not syncing). Firmware version 60.2001.169.418.  Doesn't seem from other similar threads on Versa there is anything that can be done except sync frequently or return.  Wanted to see if others are having the same issue?  If others are not having this issue widespread, I'll probably return for another and see if this is just a bad unit.  Thanks!

After your post I was curious if the same thing would happen to my Sense 2. I tested it at night because I turn off my phone when I go to bed, so my Sense 2 can't sync for about eight hours. I compared the time with my alarm clock and my Sense 2 every morning for three nights in a row, and I didn't see a time difference between them. I understand it's just one test but I hope it helps to decide contacting support or not.

I just did a one hour workout where my Sense 2 didn't have a phone connection. Afterwards I realized my watch had lost EIGHT MINUTES!!!

After syncing (which surprisingly worked for a change) the time was OK again.

This is just unbelievable behavior, so I dug around here and found an old Sense 1 thread from a year ago which described the same problem, so this is a known bug.

Seriously, Fitbit??!? A watch that shows me the wrong time (in adfdidion to all the other problems and missing features) has only one way to go: back to Fitbit. Venu 2 Plus, here I come...

Awesome feedback @RonaldM , thank you!  Good to know it does keep good time for another user, will return this one (probably try another one).  Also to another comment from @mike-MKvip, related to noticeable time loss during a workout, yeah, thinking back the couple times I had an another item running like a walk exercise app, now that I think about it, suspicious of time falling behind faster when something else running on the phone.  @mike-MKvip does seem to be seeing what I observed.

(edit 10/18/2022) Did return the Sense2, right now no plans to immediately replace.  If additional users check out this post, could be interesting to see if those future observations match time loss when another application is running and/or longer sync periods where battery may be lower.  We may be on to something here, possible reason for some of our time loss observations perhaps associated to power management on the device. Thanks again FB community for the feedback!
