Hello Guys
I have bought a new Sense 2. The sensors work well so far. Unfortunately, I can't take a phone call.
In this case, I would also like to ask google what they think about the fact that you can't control YouTube music/video, as it is a smartwatch powered by google.

Hi @SunsetRunner I'm not sure what type of phone you have. Android or iOS? Do you get notification of the call? Do yo get the option to answer the call from the wrist? If so, what then happens?

Hi @SunsetRunner - Fitbit have been actively removing features that existed on previous models, music is one of them. The Sense had in built music controls and additional apps and Google assistant, amongst other things, like expanding tiles so you could get more information on the watch.
Did you know if you are unhappy with the watch Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.

That's not all the hilarious things fitbit cant do, despite being now not much more than a health tracker (I have a versa 4 so similar situation), it does not even integrate into Google Fit.
at least media Playback is something I am currently actively doing an adverserial interoperability (aka making things work together even if they dont like it) project regarding Media Playback, and it works, except for the reliability because the communication between the fitbit and the companion always dies off (also in the way it's made it likely drains the phone battery more than enough), and while it's currently engineered for Poweramp and apple Music, there's nothing that should prevent it working with YT Music

@My1xT and a tracker will never integrate into Google Fit. This integration would be independent of the tracker and integrate between your Fitbit account and Google Fit.
This is why There is a third party that is able to open this door
As for a music player, the user manual doesn't mention one. I never had a sense 2 but did have a versa 4, and if I remover, music control was removed.
However, on the Sense 1, I had no issue with controlling music.

why not tho? iirc pixel watches work with fitbit, also it's Fitbit BY GOOGLE, would make sense to consolidate.
also yeah sure the manual doesnt mention it, but most people dont get to see the manual before buying, it's kinda a standard feature of a smartwatch I would assume. (I also had a versa 4 and removed it since it was just lackluster)

Why not what @My1xT the best we can ascertain is that Google says no

@My1xT - technically the watch has a CPU and is capable of anything the firmware can handle, however as it's like @Rich_Laue says.
Effectively Google for some reason decided to ditch the true Fitbit OS and rewrite the OS to be Wear OS like but only partially did it, and lots of functionality wasn't included. It's like the Sense 2/Versa 4 is incomplete and development was stopped.
Quite why Google has decided to remove features, retroactively on some watches, and not include features on newer watches is a mystery.
The consequence of course is that their watches are less competitive to other brands, who are surely grateful for the extra clients.

sure the fitbit has a pretty weak cpu (which is the cornerstone to its battery life I assume) but why should that stop it from working with google fit, in the end fitness trackers collect and transmit more or less the same types of data points depending on the specific features sometimes more sometimes less, or am I wrong?
shouldn't be so hard to make them spit out the same basic formatting so google fit could just use it.
<sarcasm>
or hell maybe even talk to other makers about what would be ideal for watches and trackers to have that side be as simple as possible and the rest can be offloaded to the phone app or the cloud it's getting synced to anyway, and more or less any watch could be used with any fitness tracking app depending on requirements, heck third parties could make apps without needing to make a watch to offer some specific merits for specific needs or equally makers could make models without needing to worry too much about the phone side of things by just implementing that standard protocol.
</sarcasm>
I never expected the fitbit watch to *do* anything specific for google fit, it's more like google fit should just take the data from the fitbit and deal with it.
