Hi @SHarvey84, Thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.

I'm glad to help you with the issue you are experiencing while trying to send a voice reply.

Here we have some steps our team has suggested in order to resolve this inconvenience:

Keep in mind that these steps are designed for the Android environment. Also, make sure you have the latest version of the app. If you meet these requirements, proceed as follows:

Check microphone permissions (on your phone): Even after reinstalling the app, your phone's operating system might be blocking background microphone use. On your phone, go to Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions and ensure that the Microphone and Nearby Devices permissions (on Android) are set to "Always Allow."

Enable "Background Activity": Make sure the Fitbit app isn't being optimized by your phone's battery saver. If the app is running in the background, transcription data may not be able to be sent to the servers.

Hello, thanks for the help, I've checked and yes the microphone wasn't allowed since I got a new phone couple weeks ago🤦🏼‍:female_sign:sorted that and checked the rest, sure it's all good

But I still can reply to messages with voice to text 🤔

I'm having the same problem with my Fitbit Sense 2.

This is still happening on my Fitbit Sense 2.  I have talked to Fitbit multiple times, and they keep saying the same thing we are working on it.  I just did the newest update and still not fix. 3 months is a long time to not fix the issue.

Hi @cddoty and @Lauufit_.  Thanks for your messages and for the workaround you have tried.

I can imagine how you may feel. It is our duty to let you know we’re currently working to resolve this transcription error message and hope to have a fix soon.

Be sure to keep your Fitbit app up-to-date. See How do I update the Fitbit app?

Don’t worry, this has been going on for three months already.

The only response you get from the moderators is: “We’re aware of the problem, We’re working on it.” That’s it.

Then another 4, 5, maybe 6 months will pass… maybe even a year.

Correction: maybe never!

This is a known issue since Jan of this year.  My fitb started having the issue.  I thought it was my device. So I purchased a sense 2. It has had the issue since day 1. There are many post and complaints about it.

Any further information re this fix? It's been a number of months and others have the same issues so not isolated to me. Seems the sense 2 is having a number of issues to be honest and we're not necessarily happy
