I got a Fitbit sense 2 on Nov 21,2024. Didn't use it for a couple of months, tried switching it on but getting a red 'X' on the screen and it is not switching on.

Hi @adi05. Welcome to the forums.

Thank you for taking the time to share this information regarding your Sense 2.

If you consider the device is not charging properly, see the points listed here: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Please, try to sync in the Fitbit app by tapping their upper left corner icon > Sense 2 > Sync Now. If Sync Now doesn’t work, tap the upper left corner again > Sense 2 > Tile to see if the firmware banner appears.

If the firmware update banner does not show, press and hold the side button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, then release the button.

If the issue isn’t resolved, perform a manual factory reset:

Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off and vibrates.

When you feel the vibration, release the button, then immediately press and hold the button again.

Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear, then as soon as the logo disappears, release the button, then press and hold the button again.

When you feel the vibration, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.

Thanks for the response @gwdoor1 and welcome to the forums. Thank you for providing the information regarding this issue with your device.

Sorry to know that you haven't get it solved.

Please, try to follow the steps listed here below:

  • Unpair your Sense 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Sense 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense 2.

If you can't get started with your Sense 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Unfortunately I had not turned on the watch earlier so didn't ever connect to the fitbit app. Switching it on for the first time but getting the red 'X' sign after the fitbit logo. Tried the factory reset step but that is also not working. This is my second such experience luckily first time I was able to get a replacement not sure what happens now. Got this watch hardly 3 months back but never used it.

Thanks for the response @adi05

Sorry to know that the device is not pairing with the app.

Since you tried the steps and they didn't work, and you report experiencing still the same behavior, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further.

This form is only meant for you to use, so let me know once you’re done.
