I tried to use Sense 2 in the environment with temperatures of 30°C to 40°C. The watch just shut down a couple of times during my runs and it took a while to start it again. I believe, this is due to overheating. The manual says the upper end for operating temperature is 45°C but I guess under exposure to sun (no shaded areas) the watch may easily get that hot. First time it shut down when my temperature sensor was showing 38°C during run, second time when it was "only" 33°C (although, high humidity, for humans it makes 33 into "feels like" 40, but not sure whether it affects the watch). Does anyone has similar experience with using Sense 2 in a hot country? I'm wondering (I know we won't find that out) whether Fitbit prepares watches for different markets like mobile phones manufacturers do (mobile phones often come slightly underclocked to those markets to prevent overheating). That would mean my European watch is less temperature-resistant in different parts of the world... 🤔 Obviously, I can't use it where I am now so I packed it until I'm back home.

Yes the sun can quickly heat up anything it shines on. A few people have been cooked in cars.
Try covering it with a sweat band.
