Sense 2 and strava

I ran a 10k race today.... I pressed my fitbit exercise when I started which is linked to my strava. Fitbit registered it as 10.7km and strava 9.19km. Why when I only press fitbit, so I would think it should just pass the same distance over to strava?? Any help please in this matter

Hi @Dodoni1.

Strava is likely using the GPS data exclusively to calculate the distance. Whereas Fitbit uses an algorithm that is heavily weighted towards steps multiplied by stride length which is then periodically updated using the GPS every so often.

In other words they are both processing the raw GPX data differently. I don't think there is much you can do about it.
