I used to have the Fitbit Sense and there auto-detection worked perfectly, however on Sense 2, whenever I go for a walk it will auto-detect that I'm running.
I realise I'm not a slow walker, however we're talking about a speed of around 11min/km so it's far from running speed! Is there any way to make the run auto-detection a little less sensitive, so it's more like how it was on Sense? I'd really rather avoid turning it off completely as it's a useful feature, however it's pretty annoying when it turns on falsely all the time.
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @AdamKB!
To get better step tracking results with your Sense 2 your device has to know your stride length. So I'd suggest to check if you've entered your correct body height. To do so, first tap on your profile picure in the upper left corner of your Fibit app's Today tab. Then tap the tile with your name, followed by a tap on Personal. Now tap on Height, enter the correct value and tap on Save in the upper right corner.
You should also do some walking exercises that you've started manually to enable GPS tracking for theses exercises. Your Sense 2 will use these GPS data to improve step tracking.

@AdamKB you can't change the sensitivity of detection but probably it's better to turn off recognition of running and just leave walking. In most cases, you'd plan your runs so as well you can use the Exercise app for it. Walks just happen so it's probably right to leave that on.

The Sense looks at the motion of the arm swing, not the traveling speed of the person wearing the tracker.
My thought, as @t.parker mentions, turn off run detect, but this may not help with the detection of a walk.
You may open the event, tap the pencil, and edit the event type from Run to Walk

It's not about speed being measured by GPS, @Rich_Laue. Fitbit devices that use GPS calculate stride length by algorithms that set the distance you have walked against the number of the steps you have done for this distance while doing an exercise. Made simple, if GPS has tracked a distance of 100 meters and your Fitbit device has tracked 100 steps throughout this distance, Fitbit's algorithms assume you're having a stride length of 1 meter.
