Anyone find their Sense 2 consistently under records distance covered? I walk a measured mile and the Sense records the distance as 0.79 miles.

When GPS is disabled, distance is measured by your stride length. Enter your stride length in app.

@LokeAa , Thank you for your help.

@Bernie96 , A warm welcome to the Community ! As LokeAa mentioned, the distance is measured by the amount of steps multiplied by the stride length.

How to change an personalize it, please have a look at this

I am having the same problem with my mileage not being correct after my morning walks. I think I have GPS on and I carry my phone with me and I have my stride entered under my profile. I get shorted about a half a mile every day, so do I turn the GPS off and keep my stride or take my stride out and turn on GPS?

Sense 2 has built in GPS.Follow these steps to activate GPS for walking

  • Open the exercise app and swipe  to walking
  • Swipe up from bottom to access settings
  • Tap switch to on in the GPS section
  • Swipe down to return to excercise screen

GPS overrides stride length

I did as you said, and when I click on the walking exercise tab it does not state GPS connecting but when I tap the running tab  it does say at the top GPS connecting so I don’t understand why the GPS is not on the walking exercise Tab.

Then I'm sure that GPS is under "walk". However, it is a bit difficult to turn on. So difficult that I have GPS activated for walking permanently. I think it's a bug. When you select "walk" on the watch, swipe up immediately. You must be lightning fast, to toggle GPS switch to "on".

This was helpful, you have to swipe up very fast. You'll see settings and you can then select GPS, once you do it sits on that screen. If you're too slow, it automatically starts the walking exercise. Not sure if there is a way to stop that auto-walk countdown feature if you're not fast enough. Turning it on for walk, also turned it on for run for me. It uses more battery but will now use GPS. I didn't know that mine wasn't automatically tracking GPS already but instead was using stride length? What's the point of having a GPS if it's not the default? So much could be miscalculated by stride length.

@CPK17 no need to be fast. Just open exercise settings from Exercise app not from shortcuts. Press the side button or on the shortcuts tile press "All". The the activity won't start automatically and you have all time you want to swipe up.
