Sense 2 doesn't recognise swimming, records wrong exercise types

Have been swimming in lakes this summer, Sense 2 doesn't recognise it. Once it gave me just a couple of minutes "on rowing machine" (haven't been anywhere near the thing), once it gave me 15 minutes "on elliptical ". I bought Sense 2 specially because it is supposed to track swimming.

@Tyytu   All current models have a feature that will Auto-start the Exercise app for six shortcuts: walk, run, bike, elliptical, rowing, and spinning.  You are seeing one of the most complained about issues.  Swimming gets detected as rowing or elliptical.   You need to turn off the Auto-start in these two shortcuts.

  • Short press the button and open your Exercise app
  • Select Rowing
  • Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen
  • Look for Auto-start and toggle it off
  • Repeat these steps in the Elliptical shortcut

Thanks so much, I had no idea! I probably don't know half the features on Sense 2, because the touchscreen has always been disturbingly hyper-sensitive and most of the time I struggle to get it to do what I want to do, instead of what it thinks I want to do
