Sense 2 issues - Alternatives?

Hello,

I used to have the original Versa, which I loved, and when it died I decided to get a Sense 2 in spite of the reviews. I've had a lot of issues with the Sense 2 since I got it. Notifications are hit or miss, often times too late for me to do anything about them if they get through at all, also I think the button is stuck because it keeps prompting "To pay, double press on the left side button and tap payments" several dozen times per day, sometimes every few seconds, while buzzing. It's maddening really. The body responses are more aggravating than helpful, especially since they show up ten to fifteen minutes later (so that I can't really identify what I was thinking at the time), the emotion selection is way too limited, it feels very generic and useless (telling me to breathe and relax if I indicate I'm happy or excited... like those are bad emotions). The readiness score makes no sense, and neither does the HRV....

I also find the display to be way too bright, even with the darkest watch faces in dim mode, it's like having a flashlight of blue light during the night if I want to check what time it is. Not great for someone who has sleep issues and is mindful of blue light.

I don't really need all the premium features, I mostly want a tracker that can give me timely notifications of calls/texts so I can reach my phone in time, and that tracks my sleep and heart rate consistently.

I'm thinking of getting the luxe as a replacement, or maybe the Inspire (but I'm afraid of the button causing the same payment popup issue). Do the notifications come in in real time on those? Is the display bright enough on bright to be useable outdoors yet dim enough on dim to not wake up everyone?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

If you can swing it, I upgraded to the Pixel Watch and love it!  You can set it to "Bedtime Mode", in which case it won't light up until you press the side button.  I never miss any notifications.  I haven't tried the payment method yet, as I'm having issues getting the card on the watch.

Hi @Rach99 - if you liked the Versa, may be the Versa 2 is more your watch, it uses the same platform so you will probably find all your familiar clock faces and apps and have similar reliability without the issues on later more expensive watches.

Also don't dismiss other brands which have advanced more quickly and have similar or better battery life and more features.

Did you know if you are unhappy with the watch Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.
