Hi @Jackie-1986 - if a few restarts done by holding the watch button for 10 seconds till it blanks or vibrates and wait for the logo to appear and for it to start, it may be possible to get it working when you have a red X but not always.
Try the following.
Remove the Bluetooth entries for your watch from your phone
Turn off Bluetooth
Remove the watch from your account on the device / account page in the Fitbit App
Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it, then restart the phone.
Restart the watch by holding the watch button for 10 seconds till it blanks or vibrates and wait for it to start.
Turn on Bluetooth
In the device / account page in the Fitbit App setup the watch.
It is a good idea to make a note of the names of any clocks or apps and any special watch or app settings you use before starting.
You may also need to factory reset the watch using the button before doing the process if it doesn't work and you can chat via the Fitbit App, Help & support section, Contact Customer support for help with that.

Hi there,
I've got the same issue as Jackie and I followed your instruction. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
When I hold the watch button for 10 seconds, the display blinks, shows the red X and goes dark again. And the watch keeps repeating the same process.
So I tried to chat via the Fitbit App but I could not start the chat even after I pressed the "chat" button.
It would be great if you could give me some advice.
