Sense 2 not recording my whole exercise

For the last few weeks my Sense 2 is no longer accurately recording my exercise. When i finish a swim, the watch says 72 lengths but the app records as much lower. Today it recorded 325 meters instead of 1800.

Any attempt to edit this just gets reset to 325 meters. I've logged out of the app, cleared the cache, restarted my phone and watch and all to no avail as it still behaves the same.

This watch was not cheap and i'm getting seriously bored of this buggy crap

Please, make sure you are using the latest version of the Fitbit app: How do I use the Fitbit app?

In addition, complete the following troubleshooting steps:

• Log out from the Fitbit app.
• Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
• Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
• Check if the issue is still happening.

I followed the steps you set out but this didn't work. 

After following your advice, I went swimming and completed 2000 metres but this showed as 625 metres on the app. Any attempts to edit don't work and creating the exercise separately doesn't either.

Any other ideas as to how to resolve this?
