Sense 2 not tracking steps when watch is in a pocket

When I am in the community, I use a walker. I put my fitbit in a pocket, as it won't track steps if it's on my wrist and using the walker.  Lately (July.), I noticed the app shows zero steps during the time I was using my walker. I went back to June (on the app) and it was counting the steps.

It shows on my fitbit, Sense 2, that I completed each hour of 250 or more steps. The steps per day are the same as to what is on the app.

I feel like it's something simple I could possibly be missing.

Any suggestions on what I could try. Thanks in advance. Joanna

@TJoanna , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your information.

When you put the Sense 2 in the pocket, the watch might recognize that it is not worn, that's why it doesn't count any steps. The wrist movement is one factor that the watch uses to track your steps.

For those cases we recommend to use a tracker that has the clip mode. This feature helps the device track steps when worn on a wrist. The Inspire 3 has the wrist and clip mode.

Thank you @JuanFitbit . I just got the Sense 2 in November,  I will look into the clip mode.

I haven't had any problems with it showing steps on the app until recently.

I appreciate your feedback.

Thank you @ScottMelrose . I found some options that I will have to try.

It was back to working so I thought it might be a syncing issue. Now it's not counting steps when I have my fitbit in a pocket.

Thank you again
