I have the sense 2 but all my Fitbits in the past have always over calculated my steps and detects a lot of driving and stuff as steps. Other devices I have don’t have that problem.
Does the pixel watch have this issue or is it closer to the other competitors like Garmin and Apple Watch?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @zoeiem.
Thanks for letting me know about this situation with your current Sense 2 and the past Fitbit devices that over calculate your steps, I'll do my best to help you.
Fitbit devices use a 3-axis accelerometer to count your steps. This sensor also allows your device to determine the frequency, duration, intensity, and patterns of your movement, this is why while driving and doing some other activities your Sense 2 will count them as steps. But you can edit or delete your activity data when needed, check this article to get more information.
The Pixel Watch tracks steps using an internal accelerometer, which tracks the natural swing of your arm as you walk, we don't have information in regards other brands.
