Sense 2 randomly turns off

Watch is fully charged and will randomly turn off. When I try to turn it back on, I get 3 logo flashes and a red X.

Only thing that works is putting it back on the charger.

yes I have already:

uninstalled / reinstalled the app, made sure my watch is fully charged, toggled WiFi switch on/off - toggle my Bluetooth on/off.

nothing works. This is a similar problem back in 2020 and the fix was a software update. That fix seems to be blocked by Google.

Thank you for sharing with me the information about the difficulty that you are experiencing with your Sense 2 and for trying to fix it on your own. 

Sorry to know that you previously experienced a similar situation. 

As you indicate the device is turning on only if you put it back on the charger, I'd suggest you follow the steps listed here: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Once you managed to get the device charged, please give it a try the following:

  • Sync in the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the Devices icon > Sense 2 > Sync.
  • If Sync Now doesn't show an update banner, tap the Devices icon > Sense 2 > Gallery. The app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover your device.
