Draw your own conclusions on whether the new watch navigation system will confuse users when following posted instructions in the forums, or changing from an existing watch.
It would seem that Fitbit are leaving the smartwatch market with the introduction of the health only Sense Lite [Sense 2] watch.
Gone is Google Assistant
Gone is any form of music
Gone is the standard smartwatch navigation

Swipe up to see notifications – no other devices works that way 😂

Yes, I'm disappointed in the complete re-work of navigation. Why couldn't notifications have remained swipe down? Seems like a lot of unnecessary swiping to get where you want to go.

So where do apps reside? Somewhere in between these tile pages? Or are apps another thing that's been dropped?

@N8teGee from the manual:
"From the clock face, press the button to see the apps installed on your watch. Your
most recently used apps appear at the top. Swipe up to browse your apps. To open
an app, tap it."

Thanks @SteveH, seems to be extremely unintuitive. I look forward to having to direct users through this new UI....

Imagine if they rolled it out to the original Sense as an update. That would be fun!

The easiest way to upset lots of existing users is to introduce unnecessary UI changes.

@SteveH I hope they don't bring this mess to the Sense! I will refuse to update it. It truly is extremely unintuitive.

That's assuming the Sense would even be able to run it. As it stands (from the hands on videos) it already looks pretty laggy and unresponsive on the newer hardware. Assuming the newer devices have more processing power, I definitely wouldn't want to use it on the previous gen devices.

Don't use a watch with Google WearOS, but what I see online navigation looks similar.

I can attest that the new UI is very unintuitive. To access apps you need to press the hardware button. The only swipe gestures are pages and pages of health stats which I'm sure most people access using the Fitbit app on their phone. Take it from me, if you have the original Sense, the Sense 2 is a completely different experience, and not better in my opinion. I hope they don't update the original Sense to this new UI.

Lmao it turns out that they don't reside anywhere.

The manual states (page 27) that we can Add and Remove apps.
Page 17 says to press the button to enter or exit the apps menu. I like this setup, it is more like the older fitbit models.
My Lux is, swipe left, then up for notifications. Then have to swipe completely down before I can swipe out of notifications.
The interface has been advertised as being more WEAR OS like.
Is this a picture of what standard is to come? E

@Rich_Laue The manual may very well say that, but as we can see it's simply not the case. How can one add/install apps if they haven't got access to the app gallery?
