My fitbit sense 2.keeps showing Jan 1st instead of correct date but then switches back to correct.

Hi @Jillyj67 - have you tried to restart it with the watch display on, hold the watch button for 10 seconds till the display blanks or it vibrates, release and wait for the logo to appear and it to start.
Also consider changing to another clock face in case it has a fault.
