I had more than 23,000 steps at 11:58 PM. And then, immediately after midnight, the step count went back to 20,707.
This isn't the first time this has happened and I see from other posts that the problem is not unique to me.
Furthermore, when I manually sync the watch (Sense 2) to the Fitbit app on my Android phone, the progress bar hardly ever actually manages to reach the end. Even right now, it's stuck near the end with "syncing your data". In the past, even when it has successfully synced, the steps taken close to midnight are frequently dropped. Sometimes a few hundred, and sometimes a few thousand.
A fitness device that cannot even reliably count steps taken is worse than useless. I'd be better off without the watch.
It should not make a difference to how this issue is handled and responded to, but until quite recently I was a full-time employee at Google.
And by the way, I have Fitbit Premium.
