Sense 2 steps erased after a restart

I’m livid. I’ve been in a StepBet challenge for six weeks. Pot is $35,000 between 650 people, so we could get a bit of cash each. Today is the second last day. I’ve been getting 18k-22k minimum steps 6 days a week. Today I got 18k steps. Went to sync at 930pm, wouldn’t work. Tried a a few things, and had to restart my Sense 2. It reset my **ahem**ing steps to 548! What the **ahem**. I could maybe get 17,000 by midnight but I’m already exhausted and have a 10k race at 9am. So this Fitbit lost me at least 40 bucks and my hard work. Time for a Garmin!

Are you saying that your steps, even yesterday's where reset to zero? 

A simple restart should not reset steps, under setting > About You will find a factory reset, but this would not erase steps from the app.
