Did Fitbit stop providing a sleep scores and stages with the last app update (early September 2025)? I’m using a Sense 2.

Welcome to the community forums @Pmaher @RehabKiller

Thank you for sharing the difficulties that you are experiencing with Sense 2.

There are some factors that may prevent your tracker from recording your sleep. Please make sure of the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device as described in this help article.
  • If you slept for less than 1 hour for sleep patterns or less than 3 hours for sleep stages.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

If you haven't done so already, please follow the steps listed here below:

  1. Complete a restart procedure.
  2. Try adjusting the sleep sensitivity on the Fitbit app and check if you continue to have the same problem.

In addition, please wear your device on your non-dominant hand and monitor it for the next few days.

I recommend to read our help article What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages? below the section "Why aren’t my sleep stages showing up today?"

I’m having the same problem, have you been able to resolve it?

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated 😕🙂

I also did not receive a sleep score last night

No sleep score, no health metrics except Spo2. Have restarted watch and no joy. Is there a wider problem here? Nothing different at my end.

Same issue, last data on 27 Sept, reboot of watch has brought the heart rate back to watch only but still no sleep/heart rate/daily readiness etc on app, done force stop on app on phone, no resolution.  Come on Google - same issue for lots of people, please find a fix quickly. Thanks

Your fix doesn't work.  I'm not doing anything different so no reason from my side why thrre is no data except that Fitbit/Google have changed something.

Fitbit user since 2013. Since update early September, have ongoing worsening problem with sleep tracking. Sleep begins, endings, REM, Deep, Score are basically missing or are useless. I have pacemaker 2018 aFib -ablation 2019 didn't work after 6 mos, then persistent aFib Atrial flutter till 9/16/25. Had another ablation which DID work plus Watchman insert. Now normal sinus rythm. I thought this may have something to do with Fitbit Sleep tracking errors, but it appears that your update in September screwed up the algo+. My Sense2 was ~3yrs old, so I purchased a NEW Sense2 Advanced last week and transferred all data to new one. Same exact problems. FYI have/had already been through all the steps to FIX as per same published instructions. Sign out/on, turn off/on watch/cell, clear cache, delete app/download new app, sleep position, watch position, Normal, etc, in every iteration. My new Sense2 is performing exactly like my old one AND the sleep is NOT working. Fix it! This happens every couple years, like Fitbit passed along their problems to the Google algo team. Just bought a new Charge4 for my wife when I replaced my Sense 2. Please fix the app before I have to return both.
