So got passed the previous dead sense 2. Bought a new one.
The previous would stop tracking steps randomly atleast once a month.
Flash forward. Not even one week into use of the new one same problem twice in a row Have to hard reset which almost led to the same disaster the previous did
get flashing logo followed by a red x. But it did resume
Why is this an obvious issue

Quick questions: when the watch freezes, is it only the step count that freezes? Also, can you sync the device at all?

It was just steps that stop and wont always sync. When you restart the device you lose additional steps then just what didn't step too if it didn't sync
It froze again today twice

They didn't help. The device software is clearly buggy.
On the older device they were heading toward arranging a credit but I didn't have reciept or remember when and where I bought it.
The new one updated as soon as I set it up and within a few days it's displaying the same problems
