I just got my Sense 2 yesterday and I'm having trouble with the "touch" to open. It works sometimes but not all the time. I restarted the watch and it work for for about 1/2 hr and now it's not working again. Button & motion is selected. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @LindaVino, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you with th screen wake feature that is not properly working in your Sense 2. I appreciate the troubleshooting you have already tried.
In order to better understand your issue please clarify if screen wake works while turning the wrist or just when you push the button. If you notice the screen wake feature works properly for just a short period of time, check if the "button only" option works well instead.
A restart should be enough for this kind of issue. However, if you continue to experiment issues, attempt a factory reset if you haven't done so. Go to the settings on the watch and choose "factory reset".
This may take arround two minutes to complete. Once the Fitbit logo appears, your Sense 2 will display the image with the phone icon and the setup indicator.
You can now set up your Sense 2 by following the instructions in our help article How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi,
The screen wake works intermittently while turning the wrist. The "button only" option works all the time. But I want the "button and motion" option to work.
I try tapping and it rarely works for me and yet if my husband taps it, it works all the time. I've even tried using different fingers and other parts of my finger and it rarely works.
I did an update to the watch today and now I cannot have "brightness on max" and "Screen awake button and motion" both selected! What the heck!
I know there's always a learning curve to new things but this is getting so frustrating. I'm not good with change and this is almost making me want to return this thing and go back to my Samsung Galaxy watch3 !

Hi @LindaVino - firstly did you also try pulling down on the watch face to get to Quick Settings and turn OFF all the icons, this enables wrist wake, which is a quick twist and raise of your wrist, like from a standing position, arms by your side to watch in front of your face motion.
As for tap, there are two types, first, if the watch display goes off while looking at it, you have about 3 seconds where you can just touch it and it should rewake, second, after that it will need a quick Double tap, almost anywhere, on the face, on the side, from the side.
Note: Finger nails can be unreliable, it is best to use the fleshy part of the finger only.
Note also: On this model you can't turn off the display by pushing the button, like on older models, instead place the palm of your hand over the watch face briefly. This is important because the default display timeout is only 8 seconds, and should you make it longer from the settings to be more convenient you may want to turn it off when you have finished looking, to save battery.
