Can anyone help. Just got a sense 2 (previously had a versa 2) and added new device, synced etc etc BUT I’m unable to instal Spotify. When I go to 3rd party apps and find Spotify, it says “install” but the button is greyed out. I’ve check software is up to date, removed sense 2 about 3 times and re installed it, rebooted phone and deleted and re installed Fitbit app but still the same. Watch is pretty pointless if I can’t control my music on it, which seems stupid for an apparently better watch.
all in all I actually don’t like this watch, apps are all over the place and it’s pretty confusing.
if someone can help on the Spotify issue I’d really appreciate it - thanks all

Are you sure you have Sense 2? You shouldn't be able to find Spotify or any other app. There are only 11 apps (default by Fitbit) available for Sense 2 at the moment and Spotify isn't supported (nor any kind of music app and music controls).

Thanks for that - that makes sense and wondered why the “App” function wasn’t viable (like on my versa). I can only see the “Spotify” if I click through on the Fitbit app, 3rd party app bit but like I mentioned the install is greyed out.
didn’t realise there were SO few apps. Might need to Google then when more apps will come out as not being able to control music on it is a right pain in the bum. Thanks for coming back to me, saves me trying to delete the app, reboot everything millions of times and still have the same issue. Now at least I know I’m not being stupid (or blind)

@leannedix mind that we don't know whether 3rd party apps will appear on Sense 2 ever and just by looking at current situation the chances for that are very thin. Currently, developers are unable to create apps for Sense 2 (and Versa 4) hence lack of the apps. If you need 3rd party apps you may need to reconsider your choice of device.

Yeah agreed.
it’s going back to the shop tomorrow and I think I’ll exchange it for a different model or even an Apple Watch.
Such a shame as I love my versa
again appreciate the response, thanks mate

Turn on notifications for Spotify on sense 2 in the Fitbit app on the phone. This will enable you to play, pause and skip both forward and backwards. Won't solve all your needs but once you have the right playlist set up you can easily manage playback on Spotify. Hope this solves some of the issues. 🙂

Dear Community,
I just noticed that the Spotify app developer is Fitbit and not a 3rd party app. Then why is it not available on the Sense 2 and Versa 4? I don't understand this. We should do with this situation, because the solution is not that we give back our product.

I agree, that’s absolute garbage. We have a Sense and a Sense 2 in the house and the Sense has Spotify but not the Sense 2.
The only thing I can think of is Google wants you to buy their more expensive smart watch, but it will be a cold day in hell before I put one of those gross ugly pieces of tech on my wrist. I’ll change brands before I ever do that.

How did you manage to do this? I don’t see any option for notifications for Spotify on the Fitbit app 😔

Hi @iivett @Crankybeaver - if you want to play around with Spotify notifications, first the Spotify app on the phone has to have notifications enabled,
Once the phone has a notification, the Fitbit App will send it to the watch if it is configured to do so, in Notifications -> App notifications in the Fitbit App.
For iPhone this is more complex as Spotify may not appear in the available apps list until a notification is appearing on the phone and that the phone has been setup correctly.

Hey Guy_
It's a good idea of substitution but it's not the same as the fibit Spotify app on the older more real smartwatches. For example I cannot change the track, listen to another favourite album/playlist, send a like to a new song. This is what I think we should have for a pricy clock like Sense 2:)

@Nandor I do agree with you but also I agree with @Guy_ . Most likely, the Sense 2 you got now is what you'll be left with. Sense 2 matches now its sales pitch, delivered all advertised features (I leave quality of those feature out of it) and (I hope I'm wrong) this is a finished device that Fitbit planned to release. There may be some bug fixes released but there are no missing features comparing to the spec of the advertised device.

Fitbit promised me to have at least a music control on Sense 2. I saved the talk with them, and I won't hesitate to use it if this not changing in 1 month. The reason for this that we need to stand out for ourself and not giving up too easily on our point.

@Nandor well... so all I can do is watching what's going to happen in a month 🙂 👍
