Sense 2 won't turn on since software update

I just got my sense 2 this week. Set it all up etc. Since a software update Thurs, my watch has just turned off as if out of battery. It's fully charged. When I try and turn it back on, it shows the start up icon, then a big red x. I have followed the instructions of Bluetooth, remove from acct. now it won't let me readd to my acct. I get to point of being asked the 4 digit pin, but watch never shows numbers.

Hi @Mantis252 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Allow me to help you with the red cross you device is displaying. I appreciate the troubleshooting you've already tried.

If you haven't done so, i recommend that you restart your Sense 2 by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, and then release the button. Then, i encourage you to retry the setup

If you still find trouble setting your device, i suggest that you try it with another compatible mobile device.

I hope this tips will get you back on track !

I got my Sense 2 July 23, 2023.  I have started having the same issues as Mantis.  I have restarted the device several times.

The battery drains quickly and takes a long time to charge.  At random times, the logo comes up.  I do not think I have anything extra running.  I am using a clock I have used before.  I have the brightness set to dim and wake to button.
What else should I be looking for to keep this device from being a dud not long after the warranty expired?

Have you seen the red cross after an update ? I you have, then try to setup your Sense 2 as a new device :

- From the Today tab (sunrise) in the Fitbit app on your phone, tap the devices icon (mobile and watch).
- Tap Add more devices.
- Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
