My 13 month old Sense 2 crashed and said it needed a reinstall, this failed so I deleted the device and restarted the app. Now after holding the button for 10 seconds the device flashes the logo, when attached to power, and the bluetooth list on my iphone shows the Sense 2. The app loops through "searching", "try again" and occasionally "enter 4 digit code displayed on the device" (it isn't) then I get the red cross and oblivion. After a few tries I can't even get the flashing logo startup screen until some time has passed. As the UK is not covered by the EU 2 year warranty since Brexit I'm stuck and about to go and buy an apple watch... It may be worthwhile to go to Paris so I can get the extended warranty.

Have you tried going into your phones settings and Bluetooth menu and removed all traces of your Sense 2 from there? Then try the set up process again to see if it works.
The UK has very strong laws when it comes to the sale of good, so it might be worth looking into any options you may have.
Try the above and if that still doesn't work I would recommend contacting customer support (here) and discussing things with them.
