With the Sense2 can it work independently of the app or do you need the Fitbit app open all the time? I keep closing all my apps on my iPhone. It is just a habit of mine. I had the Charge 4 before without all day sync.

You do not have to keep the app open. 24/7, Sense2 will sync next time you open the app. Sense could keep data for 7 days, I'm not sure for Sense2, Better safe than sorry, so I recommend you to sync at least once a day.Rewmember you may lose data if you restart your dwevice or run out of battery without syncing.
