Setup fail

Trying to setup new sense2. 4 digit code does not show on watch face. Bluetooth is working. I had versa2 which I removed although was still working. Now can no longer see my previous app record. Help!

Have you tried restarting the Sense 2?

Yes several times. When I press and hold the reset button I don't see the
the Fitbit logo screen still blank so must be a non working screen as I
hear vibration sounds.

That's not setting it up as a new device.  Setting it up as a new device simply means that you reconnect it to your account, as if you were setting it up for the first time.  Log into your account and on the left, you'll see a small version of your profile picture.  Tap that and you're taken to Account Settings.  Scroll until you see "Add A New Device".  Hit that and then choose your device.  It will say that a matching device is already tied to your account and then ask if you want to replace it.  Hit "Yes" and then follow the prompts.

I had replaced my old versa 2 when Fitbit asked if I wanted to which I then
did. My phone connected via Bluetooth to the Sense 2 I gave it roughly an
hour of charge. Setup then asked for four digit code on Sense 2 but screen
blank. I had to reinstall my aging versa 2. So I'm pretty sure my Sense 2
has a non working screen ie useless.

Hi @Merlin462 - make sure you charge it again for 2 hours preferably using a PC port.

Then unplug and plug in a few times to see if the battery level appears on the display or hold the button a few seconds.

If no success request a refund. Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.
