This has started happening intermittently a few times a week. I go to sleep around 10pm & wake around 7pm but my tracker randomly stops in middle of night.
Anyone else?

It's good to see you around the community @Lisar41.

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding sleep.

Before considering other options, please keep in mind that there are some factors that may prevent your tracker from recording your sleep. When your body is completely at rest and you haven’t moved for about an hour, your device should record that you’re asleep. Please make sure of the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device as described in this help article.
  • If you slept for less than 1 hour for sleep patterns or less than 3 hours for sleep stages.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

If you haven't done so already, please follow the steps listed here in order to restart the device.

In addition, please wear your device on your non-dominant hand and monitor it for the next few days. In the meantime, for the nights that don't have sleep data, you can manually log your sleep by going to the Fitbit app, tapping on the Today tab, sleep duration, tap the gear icon in the top right and set your targets.

Hi
I have had a Fitbit since 2016. This has only recently started in last few weeks. It randomly stops tracking in middle of night.

It has never happened with any other Fitbit & nothing has changed. But it’s not the only issue I’m having. Mostly to do with the app. Not updating RHR

I wondered if this is a bug in the system.

Thanks

@Lisar41  Hi. There’s been quite a few posts with similar feedback across the Sense 2 pages so I’m leaning toward believing it’s not singular device related.

I’ve also had exactly the same issue you have described. Attached 2 of my screenshots from November 8th below. Whenever I got the shortened sleep data it coincided with a long break in heart data BPM overnight for the same time period. It’s a random occurring issue for me. At the moment it’s back to working 100% fine and I’ve done nothing different. I’ve only ever had the issue occur since installing the new App v4.0 onwards. I’m on v4.04 of the App now.  Interestingly even though there appears to be a break in heart rate BPM overnight on the App screen on occasion I did look at the heart rate tile on my sense 2 device overnight to check if it’s recording and that has never shown any breaks in data.

I’ve had the same issue, only in reverse.   I have been ill for the past several days and sleeping poorly.  I’ve been awake several times during the night and had to get up.  Amazingly, though, my Sense 2 showed I slept for over 8 hours on those nights I was awake and getting up. Any reasonable explanations?

Hi, I've checked the HR data for the same period and it shows my HR was tracking at my usual sleeping HR of around 43 to 35 BPM, but the fitbit literally stops at 1.26am on this occasion but I have loads of other ones which show it stops at 3am often, and I'm definitely asleep.

My sense 2 is fairly new and I've only had this problem with this particular model, never experienced anything with the other models.

I'm also finding that randomly the fitness tracker stops tracking a few minutes into a workout or randomly after say 15 minutes, when my HR is literally up at 150 so I'm definitely still working out ... there seems to be an obvious problem as I've also logged that I'm not seeing real time RHR, but apparently that's a bug in the system - it sounds like there are a lot of issues.

The app says my sense 2 is up to date and there are no updates available, I'm on version 4.03

Really need Fitbit to look into the problems

I think there must be a lot of bugs in the system as I'm having numerous problems with mine, since I got the Sense 2 I've not been happy - had fitbits for years without issue but this is making me think about changing.

Hi - it;s none of these issues, I'm having several problems since getting the sense 2, real time RHR not showing, sleep tracking wrongly, exercise not tracking properly and stopping after a few minutes.

At the moment I'm not happy with the functionality of this new Sense2
