I was traveling this past Saturday and was pleasantly surprised when I got off the plane and my Fitbit steps were up to 13,000 plus. It’s not a huge deal, but I had a pretty long 10,000+ step streak going (more than three years) and had I known that count was inaccurate, I would’ve kept walking.
Today, when I got my weekly report, it indicated I did not meet my 10,000 step goal on Saturday. I scrolled back through the app, and my step count had gone back to 8,200+ for the day. I blame Fitbit. How can steps be counted and then taken away? Has anyone had this issue before? Now I can’t trust anything I see.
Also, it’s 8:50 AM my time, and I just looked at my steps. They have recorded I met my 250 steps goal for the second hour, which isn’t until 9 a.m. It also indicates I did not have enough steps in the 8 a.m., but that hour isn’t even finished. Seems like something is way off.

Mine freezes without warning and stops counting steps, and if you reset it to get it working again you lose a chunk of steps

Hi @sportsgirlV - did you check in the Fitbit App, device (connected to) page if your phone is also connected to your account, then remove it?
