I have a Fitbit Sense 2 and it syncs with the app. And it shows the same amount of steps today on the app and the watch. But it has changed the amount of steps for the previous days.
Yesterday I walked more than 16K steps, but the fitbit app says I only walked just short of 9K steps. And it shows that I have walked almost 11km.
And for the day before that it's even worse. It says I have walked just 3K steps (was actually more than 18K steps). And it also says I walked 12,5km that day. I must really have long steps, since according to the app one step is around 4 meters.
And the sync with the Strava app is also strange. I can do a 8,5km walk and track it in Strava. When it syncs with the Fitbit app, it shows the right amount of time spent, but it shows that I only walked 0,21km.
I have deleted the app and re-installed it.
I have disconnected the watch and connected it again.
I have restarted my iPhone.
Both the app and the iPhone is updated with the latest versjons.
How can I solve this issue? Pretty tired of all the problems with Fitbit. Have had many problems with the watch or the app in the last year. I feel that I can not trust the watch and the app any more to actually track correctly.

I agree!!! Fitbit for the past 1 1/2 years have been full of never ending problems. It's been several issue after another. It's to time consuming to deal with all the malfunctions. When my Fitbit Sense 2 is no longer working I have decided to move on to a more stable platform/sofware like Germin and pay a little more $$$ for alot less malfunctions.

This has been going on for quite a bit now. People on Reddit are continuously reporting the same. Support is providing no resolution. Paid customers are left with this critical issue. Just a random selection (I can keep on adding sources if desired, no shortage of them; just trying to help the developers gain an insight into the widespread scale of this issue affecting many paid customers):
