Two Fitbit Sense 2 are draining the battery pretty fast

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My girlfriend and I both own a fitbit sense 2 which we got at the same time over 2 years ago.

Within the past few days both our fitbit sense 2 watches started to drain the battery like crazy, within 1,5 hours or so.

It seems very unlikely that this is a coincidence given the fact we've had them for such a long time, and now all of a sudden both are draining the battery within the timespan of 2 hours.

To me it appears like a sign of some faulty (firmware)update causing the devices to drain the battery so fast.

Charging doesn't fix the issue, no changes were made by either os us to 'always on display' or anything like that (like GPS always on).

I'd like to keep using the watch(es), let me know what I can do. If this problem does not get fixed, both our watches are now rendered useless.

Is it possible to install an older firmware installation or something like that?

Please respond in order to solve our problem, despite the bumpy road we still are very fond of our fitbit sense 2.

hope to hear from you soon,

kind regards

Sportokkie

Hi @sportokkie, welcome back to the community. I really appreciate all the time you have invested in your post.

I can understand how frustrating it must be to experience sudden battery drain on both of your Fitbit Sense 2 watches.

Here are some basic steps that might help improve the situation: make sure both your Fitbit Sense 2 watches and the Fitbit app are running the latest software versions (20001.210.26). If you have a previous firmware version, please try following the steps listed here

While software updates can sometimes feel disruptive, they're actually designed to fix bugs and glitches.

Dear Estuardo,

I have verified the versions of the app versions (latest on both) and fitbit device versions.

- The watch of my girlfriend -is- already at  (20001.210.26), not draining in 2 hours any longer, but now in a day more or less.

Only a week ago it easily still held for a couple of days without charging.

- My watch was at an earlier release, just updated it and charged,

Battery still drains at lightspeed, in only 5 minutes from 100% to 84%

What steps can I take next?

Dear Estuardo,

I have filled in the form.

Waiting for response,

PS: I noticed the subject of my original post has been changed somehow.

The original title was: both fitbit sense 2 devices of me and my girlfriend started draining instantly in the past few days

I explicitly wanted to state that the matter is regarding two devices experiencing the same trouble at the same time. The current title Fitbit Sense 2 is not holding the charge does not cover this fact.

This for the record,

sincerely,

Sportokkie
